BILLS, NFC EAST TO FEATURE IN 2025 HARD KNOCKS SERIES
HBO and NFL Films have confirmed that there will again be two editions of their groundbreaking Hard Knocks series during the 2025 NFL season, with both the now-familiar training camp and in-season versions airing.
Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills marks the first time the iconic franchise has been selected to take part in the 19-time Sports Emmy-winning series, Head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane will be featured alongside the 2024 NFL Most Valuable Player, quarterback Josh Allen, and an array of veteran and rookie players training at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York.
Hard Knocks: In Season will air in December with NFC East the focus of attention, putting the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders and reigning Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles — some of the most storied teams and biggest names in football — under the microscope during the final stretch of the NFL season and into the playoffs. The Cowboys’ Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, the Giants’ Russell Wilson and Malik Nabers, Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin of the Commanders, and Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley of the Eagles are expected to be among the stars to feature in the series, but fate has a habit of forcing changes of plan during an arduous campaign. This will be the second edition of the divisional version of Hard Knocks, following last season’s focus on the AFC North.
Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills and In Season with the NFC East are the first two Hard Knocks installments to fall under a new multi-year deal between long-time partners HBO and NFL Films.
“We are thrilled to provide Hard Knocks fans a summer with the Bills and winter with the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders and Eagles in the first year of our exciting new deal with NFL Films,” Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, co-executive vice presidents of HBO Documentary and Family Programming said in a statement, along with senior vice-president of HBO Sports Documentaries, Bentley Weiner. “There will be no shortage of star power.”
Both series will be narrated by Liev Schreiber.
