The new NFL tradition of playing a game the day after Thanksgiving will continue in 2025, with the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field on November 28th.

The NFL has since announced, however, that the occasion, known as the ‘Black Friday game’ will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, marking the first-ever NFL game to be streamed globally on the platform, which is available in over 240 countries and territories, and is free to watch with no subscription required. The game can also be viewed via NFL+ (in the US) and NFL Game Pass on DAZN (internationally), but both require payment.

We are excited to work with our partners at Prime Video to bring this year’s Black Friday game to a global audience,” said Hans Schroeder, executive vice president of media distribution at the NFL. “Expanding the availability of our games to NFL fans around the world is a key priority for us, and we are thrilled that the Black Friday game will be available through Amazon in over 240 countries and territories.”

In addition to the game, Prime Video will host a full day of live sports on Black Friday, including golf’s ‘Skins Game’ and an NBA double-header featuring the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers. Altogether, Prime Video will deliver in excess of 12 hours of live global sports coverage that day.

We are thrilled to expand our relationship with the NFL and present Black Friday football to the millions of fans we serve around the world,” said Jay Marine, head of Prime Video US global sports. “Black Friday is becoming one of the best sports holidays of the year, and this can’t-miss game between the Super Bowl champion Eagles and the surging Bears, in one of the most-charged stadium atmospheres in sports, stands at the center of a huge day for all of us at Amazon.”

The NFL’s journey towards having something on offer every day of the week shows no signs of slowing down.
