The Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders have been announced as two of the participating teams for the 2026 NFL London games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the Jags again doubling up with their Wembley residency.

It will be the third time that Jacksonville have played back-to-back games in the UK as they look to extend their current record of having played 14 regular season games in London since 2013, with 11 at Wembley and three at Tottenham. Their opponent, as well as the Commanders’, will be announced when the full 2026 NFL schedule is released this spring.

Home to more than 17 million fans, the UK market has been at the centre of the NFL’s global expansion for almost two decades. Over three million fans have attended regular season games in London since 2007, with the games delivering a total economic impact of more than £2bn over the years. To date, 42 regular season games have been played in the UK.

We look forward to welcoming the Commanders and Jaguars back to London as part of the 2026 NFL international games,” NFL UK & Ireland general manager Henry Hodgson commented. “The NFL London Games bring fans together from across the UK and beyond, and play a key role in engaging our existing fans as well as creating new audiences and driving NFL fandom in this market.”

The games in London will be part of an NFL record nine international games in 2026, ranging across four continents, seven countries and eight stadiums. Washington were European visitors in 2025 too, having played the Miami Dolphins in the inaugural NFL fixture in Spain — only their second International Series appearance following a tied game against Cincinnati at Wembley.

Last season’s trip to Madrid was personally unforgettable, and a tremendous milestone for our organisation,” Commanders managing partner Josh Harris said. “Playing in the NFL’s first regular season game in Spain and experiencing the passion of fans was truly special and reaffirmed the power of and excitement for the Commanders and NFL globally.

London is home to some of the most passionate sports fans in the world. We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring the Commanders and NFL football to this unique city. This trip represents another meaningful moment to engage new communities, strengthen relationships, and continue to enhance our fanbase in the UK and worldwide.”

The Jaguars hold marketing rights in the UK as part of the league’s Global Markets Programme, and their ongoing presence in London has seen them adopted at ‘Britain’s Team’ by a vast swathe of previously unaffiliated fans.

Last season was my first experience in London as head coach of the Jaguars, and my immediate takeaway was London is undoubtedly our home away from home.” head coach Liam Cohen recalled. “We have a passionate and knowledgeable fan base in London, built over time and still growing, and we’re making a positive impact with fans throughout the United Kingdom as well. That’s something our entire organisation, starting with our ownership, has worked very hard to achieve and takes great pride in further developing each season.

“With two games in London in 2026, it’s going to be great fun for our fans in London as well as for everyone in Jacksonville who will be making the trip. I’m definitely looking forward to it, and I know our players are happy to return as well.”
