The NFL has confirmed that Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029, with the championship game returning to Allegiant Stadium five years after the city’s debut as a Super Bowl venue.

The announcement was made on Monday at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, following a recommendation from the league’s Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee and approval by team owners.

It will mark the second time Las Vegas has staged the Super Bowl, having first hosted the event in 2024, when the city welcomed more than 330,000 visitors and generated more than $1 billion in economic impact, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).

We’re excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans with another incredible experience in one of America’s greatest sport and entertainment destinations,” said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. “Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the scale, energy and hospitality the city brings to global events, and we look forward to working alongside the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Raiders and the community to deliver an even greater experience this time around.”

The decision further cements Las Vegas’ growing status as one of the NFL’s marquee event destinations since the Raiders’ relocation from Oakland and the opening of Allegiant Stadium, and Steve Hill, president and CEO of the LVCVA, said the city is ready to build on the success of its first Super Bowl.

We’re proud the NFL has selected Las Vegas to host Super Bowl LXIII,” he acknowledged. “Our first Super Bowl showcased the unique energy and scale only this destination can offer, bringing together world-class sports, entertainment and hospitality in one place. Las Vegas was built for moments like this, and we look forward to delivering another exceptional experience for fans in 2029.”

Raiders owner Mark Davis echoed that sentiment, pointing to the collaborative effort behind bringing the event back to Nevada.

We’re excited that the Super Bowl will be returning to Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium in 2029,” said Davis. “It’s a testament to the Raiders, the LVCVA, civic leaders, the community and the NFL working together as one. Super Bowl LVIII set a high bar, and for Super Bowl LXIII we are committed to raising it even further.”

In the build-up to the game, Las Vegas is also set to host the NFL’s traditional week-long programme of events, including NFL Honors, Super Bowl Experience presented by Jersey Mike’s, and Super Bowl Opening Night Fueled by Gatorade, alongside a range of community initiatives.

Among those is NFL Source, the league’s procurement programme designed to support local and underrepresented businesses, extending the impact of the event beyond game day itself.

The NFL also confirmed that On Location, the league’s official hospitality partner, has already launched its Priority Access deposit programme for Super Bowl LXIII packages, allowing fans an early route to premium seating and hospitality experiences.

With Allegiant Stadium already established as one of the league’s premier modern venues and Las Vegas proving a major draw for fans and sponsors alike, the return of the Super Bowl in 2029 comes as little surprise. For the NFL, however, it is another signal that Sin City has moved from novelty host to a permanent fixture in the rotation for its biggest event.
