NFL NETWORK TO SHOW 21 LIVE PRESEASON GAMES
NFL Network will be the place to watch the entire slate of 2025 preseason games, having revealed a programme highlighted by 21 live match-ups.
The live coverage kicks off with a double-header on Thursday 7th August, beginning with the Indianapolis Colts facing the Baltimore Ravens, a rivalry significant for the former’s moonlit flit from one city to the other in 1983. That game will then be followed by the Las Vegas Raiders taking on the Seattle Seahawks — a match-up that marks new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Geno Smith’s return to the Pacific Northwest following time spent there in recent seasons, while Sam Darnold is likely to make his debut under center as a Seahawk.
On Friday (8th August), rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders could make his NFL debut as the Cleveland Browns travel to face the Carolina Panthers, before a Saturday triple-header that begins with the New York Giants quarterback trio — Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and rookie Jaxson Dart — taking on the Buffalo Bills, continues with J.J. McCarthy’s return to the Minnesota Vikings line-up as they take on the Houston Texans, and ends with Justin Fields making his New York Jets debut against a team he know well from a previous stint in Chicago, the Green Bay Packers
The network’s live Week 1 coverage wraps up on Sunday (10th August) with the Miami Dolphins travelling to face the Chicago Bears, followed by the New Orleans Saints visiting the Los Angeles Chargers.
Each Saturday, NFL GameDay Kickoff will air at 7pm ET to provide live look-ins at other key preseason match-ups, starting with first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Cam Ward, in his preseason debut with the Tennessee Titans, #2 pick Travis Hunter’s preseason debut with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Dallas Cowboys at the Los Angeles Rams.
Week two’s live coverage begins on Friday 15th August with the Titans visiting the Atlanta Falcons, and the Kansas City Chiefs at the Seahawks, before continuing over the weekend with a slate highlighted by the San Francisco 49ers travelling to play the Raiders and the annual Snoopy Bowl between the Jets and Giants.
Week three, meanwhile, features six live match-ups, beginning with two games on Thursday 21st August, and continuing through Saturday, with the Seahawks at the Packers, and the all-Florida clash between the Jaguars and Dolphins topping the bill.
Live preseason games on NFL Network remain subject to blackouts in the local markets of the participating teams.
