Gridiron Cheat Sheet – TNF Week 2
Fancy a little midweek NFL wager? Gridiron gives you some key pointers ahead of Thursday night’s AFC North clash between Baltimore and Cincinnati.
BALTIMORE RAVENS (+0) @ CINCINNATI BENGALS
- Bengals are 7-3 in their last 10 matchups
- The flattering Ravens scoreline last week was a result of staggering red zone efficiency: six visits, 18 plays, 72% successful, all visits resulting in touchdowns.
- Even with the Ravens winning easily last week, Alex Collins was a non-factor at running back after his early touchdown (29% success rate).
- The Ravens leading rusher last week, Kenneth Dixon (62% success rate), suffered a knee injury in the 4th quarter last week and is questionable on the short week.
- The Bengals graded 2nd in defensive coverage last week, but were surprisingly only average at putting Luck under pressure against a weak Colts OL
- Both offenses are facing much stronger defences than last week.
- Run blocking was the weakest part of both their respective games last week, and without being able to get the run going, a high scoring game seems unlikely.
