AFLE PANTHERS COMPLETE IMPORT SIGNINGS

The Wroclaw Panthers have completed their contingent of American imports for the 2026 AFLE season with the signing of defensive back Torey Richardson, a player with extensive NCAA Division I experience.

Richardson, a Texas native, began his football journey as a quarterback at Tomball Memorial High School before transitioning to cornerback. He started his collegiate career with the Houston Cougars, before transferring to Blinn College in search of playing time ahead of a return to the Division I ranks with the UTEP Miners and Temple Owls.

The Panthers believe Richardson’s experience against top collegiate competition will strengthen their secondary as they prepare for a title push in the first year of the AFLE — and the player, who describes himself as ‘a ‘playmaker’ DB, is not about to dissuade them of that ambition.

I felt I was ready to conquer the world, and coming to Wroclaw seemed like the perfect start to that journey,” Richardson said. “I have a very good feeling about it. [My college] experience has shown me that hard work truly pays off. It’s motivated me to continue reaching for new goals.”

Known for late-game interceptions, Richardson credits preparation and composure under pressure for his ability to influence the outcome of games.

Video analysis allows me to recognise opponents’ patterns and react accordingly,” he explains. “Pressure creates diamonds, so I’m always ready for that big moment to shine. I just let my instincts take over.”

His background as a quarterback, he says, also remains an advantage.

Football is a psychological game, and many of them are easily unsettled,” Richardson smiles knowingly, before explaining how he intends to influence his own squad. “Being a great team-mate ensures we’ll never lose sight of our goal: a title. Individual successes come naturally when these first two goals are achieved.”
