BOUAH’S FIRE STILL BURNS — BUT NOT FOR RHEIN
Jordan Bouah is looking for a new home within the European League of Football after announcing that he is parting from the Rhein Fire.
The Italian wide receiver only joined the reigning champions in January, but his 2025 season has largely been a mirror of 2024, where injury derailed a campaign with the Vienna Vikings that eventually saw the Austrian team reach — and play in — the ELF Championship game without him.
Bouah played three seasons in Vienna, between 2022 and 2024, winning a title with the Vikings in their first season in the league. His 26 appearances — which yielded 105 receptions for 1671 yards and 17 touchdowns — came largely in his first two years, however, as injury restricted him to just four games in 2024.
Out of action since the early weeks of the 2025 season, Bouah announced his split from the Fire via his Instagram feed, adding that he expected to be fully fit in three weeks and was looking for ‘the next opportunity’. Intriguingly, while that opportunity ought to be in the ELF — where several teams could use a proven wideout — Bouah’s name has appeared on the roster of the Milan Rhinos of the Italian national league. That competition ended, however, with the 44th edition of the Italian Bowl on 28th June.
Bouah is the second prominent wide receiver to part ways with his 2025 ELF club in 24 hours, after the Helvetic Mercenaries waved goodbye to former NFL regular Keelan Cole Jr, allegedly over visa complications.
