The European Football Alliance has secured a potentially significant North American broadcast foothold ahead of its inaugural season after announcing a distribution agreement with FuboTV and its Fubo Sports Network platform.

The deal will place live EFA games and original programming in front of audiences across the United States and Canada, with the league confirming that at least 18 live games from the 2026 season will air on the FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channel beginning later this month. The EFA said the agreement also includes highlights, shoulder programming (pre-and post-game) and video-on-demand content as the new league attempts to build visibility beyond Europe Europe during its launch year.

The competition is set to begin this weekend and currently features six franchises, although expansion plans are already targeted for next year. The broadcast agreement — which adds to the already announced free YouTube coverage — further deepens the growing overlap between the EFA and FuboTV co-founder David Gandler, who has emerged as one of the most influential external figures in the league’s wider commercial ambitions having, through Gandler Sports Group, secured the rights to operate the EFA’s proposed London franchise from 2027. The project has been closely tied to Gandler’s wider sports portfolio following his takeover of Leyton Orient FC, whose Brisbane Road stadium has already been identified as the likely initial home venue for the franchise.

The American executive had also previously invested in the rival European League of Football before aligning himself with the EFA project, repeatedly arguing that European football requires a more transparent and franchise-led governance structure.

The partnership represents an important step in expanding EFA’s footprint in North America,” EFA CEO Eric Reutemann claimed. “Fubo Sports Network’s platform and audience alignment make a strong partner as we continue to build a global presence for European American football.”

Fubo positioned the agreement as an opportunity to broaden its live sports portfolio while tapping into growing interest in the European game.

The EFA is already a compelling, fast-growing football brand in Europe and we believe Fubo Sports Network’s North American audience will devour its hard-hitting gameplay,” said the company’s Pamela Duckworth. “Our agreement with the EFA brings a European perspective on classic American football to our diverse programming line-up that already includes 500 live sporting events each year. We can’t wait to add the EFA to that mix this spring.”

According to the release, EFA coverage on Fubo Sports Network will be available free through platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Hulu + Live TV, LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream, The Roku Channel, VIZIO WatchFree+, Tubi, Plex, TCL Live TV and Tablo TV.
