NFL star Damar Hamlin is teaming up with European League of Football franchise, the Paris Musketeers, to raise awareness of CPR and AED during the city’s annual Fashion Week.

The Buffalo Bills safety is bringing the ‘Lifesaving Gestures’ initiative to France for an event co-organised by his Chasing M’s Foundation and the Musketeers in partnership with the French American Football Federation (FFFA). To be held at the team’s training venue in the Eaubonne district next Wednesday (25th June), the event aims to raise awareness of, and provide training, in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

Hamlin infamously suffered a cardiac arrest during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals in January 2023 and, having survived thanks to the quick thinking of team medics trained in CPR, has become an international advocate for both the technique and widespread availability of AEDs. Through his Chasing M’s Foundation, Hamlin leads campaigns to equip more communities — particularly those involved in youth sports — with the means to respond to cardiac emergencies.

“I was fortunate to be surrounded by a team of healthcare professionals who saved my life,” Hamlin admitted. “I believe every child deserves the same care I was fortunate to receive that day, and so I created the Chasing M’s Foundation CPR Tour to provide lifesaving training and education to people around the world. I am honoured to join the Paris Musketeers as we provide AEDs that will protect the youth of this community for years to come. Together, we can make an impact.”

The Paris event is part of a broader transatlantic collaboration, which also includes the Musketeers strategic partner New Orleans Saints, aimed at strengthening the visibility, safety, and development of American football in France.

We are proud to support Damar and Chasing M’s,” Musketeers CEO John McKeon added. “Our role as co-host reflects our commitment not only to growing American football, but to doing so responsibly, placing safety and people at the heart of our approach.”

The Chasing M’s event will be held between 1-4pm CET at the Musketeers’ training center, on the Athletica outdoor field at 64 Rue des Bouquinvilles, 95600 Eaubonne (relocation to the gymnasium in case of rain).
