MUSKETEERS TO SHOWCASE FLAG FOOTBALL DURING ELF HALF-TIMES
The Paris Musketeers have launched a flag football series which will showcase the sport during half-time of their European League of Football (ELF) games this season.
The youth sports initiative is designed to bring all the energy and inclusivity of youth flag football to the field at Robert Bobin Stadium, offering girls and boys aged 8+ the chance to play in front of thousands of Musketeers fans. Each half-time demonstration will feature 5-on-5 flag football matches between local teams affiliated with the French Federation of American Football (FFFA), with participants wearing their respective club jerseys, allowing Musketeers fans to cheer them on.
Clubs will also be honoured during on-field ceremonies, as well as a post-game party, where they will have the opportunity to meet some of the Musketeers players and coaches.
“The Half-time Flag Football Series breathes new life into our stadium,” Musketeers CEO John McKeon commented, “It celebrates the joy of sports, brings families together and strengthens the bonds between our team, our fans, and our partners at the Federation.”
With flag football already confirmed to be joining the roster of sports at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the Musketeers initiative is just another showcase for a thriving variant of full-contact football.
“This partnership represents a major step forward for the development of flag football in France,” Frédéric Paquet, president of the FFFA, confirmed. “We are proud to bring new energy, visibility and opportunities to a sport that continues to inspire young athletes across the country.”
In addition to on-field activities, the Musketeers and the Federation will collaborate closely on team selection and logistics to ensure the initiative remains rooted in local communities. The joint effort not only enhances the in-stadium experience, but also supports the growth of American football in France, emphasising accessibility, enthusiasm and unity through the sport.
