MUSKETEERS WANT BAUER ROARING FOR LIONS GAME

The Paris Musketeers will host their first home game of the new European Football Alliance era on Saturday evening when the Prague Lions visit the historic Stade Bauer in Saint-Ouen.

The game, which kicks off at 6pm local time, gives Jack Del Rio’s team the chance to build on their dramatic 21-20 victory over Frankfurt Galaxy in the opening game of the EFA’s inaugural season. That win was built on one of the standout defensive performances of Week 1, with Paris allowing only one offensive touchdown before sealing victory with a decisive defensive play near the end zone.

For the Musketeers, the move to Stade Bauer is about more than the football alone. The Saint-Ouen venue has been part of French sporting culture for more than a century and now becomes the team’s home in the EFA. With supporters close to the field, the Musketeers hope the stadium can provide one of the most distinctive atmospheres in European American football.

“This game is much more than just an American football match,” CEO John McKeon said. “It’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Musketeers, for our fans and for the development of American football in France.”

Under former NFL head coach Del Rio, the Musketeers enter Week 2 level at the top of the standings alongside the Nordic Storm and Munich Ravens, both of whom produced outstanding offensive displays, the former against Prague. With the Paris offense also showing signs of growth in Frankfurt, with quarterback Zach Edwards leading two touchdown drives in less than four minutes to complete the comeback, the Czech side could again be in for a tough afternoon.

The Lions, meanwhile, arrive in France looking to disrupt the homecoming, with former Paris quarterback Jaylon Henderson returning to face his old team. The American replaced compatriot Edwards while he took a year out of the sport in 2025, but both have now had another week of work with their respective offensive lines and receivers to get into more of a rhythm. Like Edwards, Henderson offers a dangerous dual-threat presence, capable of changing games with both his arm and legs, and the Prague offense also features prolific wide receiver William Patterson and Czech playmaker Adam Zouzelka, but will have to negotiate that tough Paris D if they are to avoid going 0-2.
