NEW CO-OWNER FOR NORDIC STORM
The Nordic Storm organisation has welcomed Stephen Schueler as its latest co-owner and board member ahead of season five of the European League of Football.
Currently serving as the CEO of Enerjen Capital, a leading renewable clean energy company specialising in the maritime sector, Schueler has previously held executive roles with the AP Moller-Maersk Group, Microsoft Corporation, and spent over two decades at Procter & Gamble leading global retail operations. As a result, he brings a wealth of international leadership experience to the Storm, as well as a deep commitment to fostering US-Danish relations.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Schueler — pictured with American Storm players Exavier Edwards, Jadrian Clark and Luke Glenna — is the president of The American Club in Denmark, an organisation dedicated to strengthening cultural and business ties between the United States and Denmark, a trans-global connection underscored by his great-grandfather, Dr. Michael Cramer, who served as the US ambassador to Denmark from 1870 to 1881.
“We are thrilled to welcome Stephen to the Nordic Storm family,” said Lars Green, one of the club’s co-founders. “His leadership, global network and personal dedication to Denmark are exactly what we need as we take our first steps into the European League of Football. Having someone of Stephen’s calibre onboard is a game-changer for our organisation and our fans.”
The Storm are set to play their first-ever ELF game against the Helvetic Mercenaries, in Switzerland, on May 18th, with a highly-anticipated home opener in Copenhagen scheduled for June 1st, and Schueler’s strategic insight and international experience are expected to play a key role as the team establishes itself on the biggest European stage.
“I’m honoured to join Nordic Storm and contribute to the growth of American football in Denmark,” Schueler said. “This opportunity combines my passion for sports, leadership and my strong personal connection to Denmark. I’m excited to help build something truly special with the Nordic Storm.”
