PANTHERS TARGET ONE MORE WIN

The Wroclaw Panthers may have been eliminated from the European League of Football playoff race, but they are not about to leave the 2025 season quietly — especially when there is a chance to claim a prized scalp.

Wroclaw host potential #1 seed Munich Ravens at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday evening, with their visitors eager to sew up at least a bye through the Wildcard round. With both Vienna and Nordic Storm sharing a similar 10-1 record, however, the German side still has everything to play for.

In the first meeting between the Panthers and Ravens, played in Bavaria, the home side emerged victorious, winning 34-14 en route to the South Division title and the guaranteed playoff spot that comes with it. As in most cases this season, the scoreline of that first meeting belies how tough Wroclaw made it for their opponents, and star linebacker A.J. Wentland knows that he won’t have to ask for the same level of effort this time around.

“The Ravens are another great team and, as every year, we have one of the toughest schedules in the league,” the American import said. “We love competing against the best but, to be successful this time, we need to improve our run defense compared to last week. If we can stop their running plays, generate interceptions on defense and maintain a high level of offensive efficiency, we have a good chance of winning.

“The team fought hard in their last game against the Vikings and, although the loss eliminated us from the playoffs, we’re proud of our effort. We want to finish the season on a high note this weekend!”
