As promised, the latest member of the American Football League Europe was unveiled on Super Bowl Sunday, as the Paris Lights emerged from the darkness to complete a sextet of official entrants in the nascent semi-pro competition.

Paris.
Ça fait des siècles qu’elle brille.

Là où les idées naissent.
Là où les regards se tournent.
Là où les scènes s’allument.

Pas juste une ville.
Une lumière.
Qui inspire. Qui attire. Qui frappe.

Et aujourd’hui,
cette lumière entre sur le terrain.

PARIS LIGHTS.
De Paris viendra la lumière.🌟

As Gridiron reported shortly before Christmas, American football in Paris is embracing a new — and potentially contentious — chapter following the unveiling of the Paris Lights which, with the recent confirmation that the European Football Alliance is to press ahead with its own league in 2026, will be pitted against the established Paris Musketeers for the hearts and minds of fans in the French capital.

Led by French entrepreneurs, and former Musketeers personnel, Frantzy Dorlean and Marc Angelo Soumah, the Paris project’s stated ambition is to ‘build a competitive, modern organisation rooted in the Paris region and capable of elevating the sport’s profile while inspiring a new generation of players and fans’.

While the Musketeers will claim to have been doing the same thing successfully throughout their short history, the Lights

The four founding members of the AFLE — Rhein Fire, Berlin Thunder, Wroclaw Panthers and Vienna Vikings — have now been joined by both Paris and the Swiss-based Alpine Rams, with rumoured — and in some cases, overly-hyped — franchises yet to be announced in Italy, England and Monaco.

The EFA, meanwhile, added a seventh team, the Munich Ravens, to its roster earlier in the week, prompting the decision to abandon hopes of a reunification with the AFLE members and announce its own league.

Paris.
It has shone for centuries.

Where ideas are born.
Where eyes turn.
Where stages light up.

Not just a city.
A light.
That inspires. That attracts. That strikes.

And today,
that light enters the arena.

PARIS LIGHTS.
From Paris will come the light. 🌟
