RAIDERS SIGN KRAJEWSKI AS KNOOP REPLACEMENT
Raiders Tirol have moved decisively to address the preseason injury suffered by QB1 Tyler Knoop by securing the services of Steven Krajewski.
The American playmaker, who is now set to lead the offense under the guidance of head coach Shuan Fatah and offensive coordinator Max Kössler, brings a wealth of US college football experience to Innsbruck.
“With Steven, we are getting a quarterback who will bring quality and experience,” Kössler commented. “Of course, we are very sorry about Tyler Knoop’s injury, but Steven is a top quarterback with a lot of college experience and an absolute professional on and off the field. He has an exceptionally high football IQ, is athletic, very durable and has an extremely strong and accurate throwing arm. It is precisely this combination that makes him a real playmaker at the quarterback position. We are very happy to welcome him to the Raiders Tirol and look forward to an exciting season with him as leader of our offense.”
Most recently, Krajewski competed for the Wagner College Seahawks, having previously taken the field for the Georgia State Panthers and the UConn Huskies, the latter as a team-mate of former Raiders Tirol standout Valentin Senn.
“I’m honoured and excited for the opportunity to join the Raiders Tirol and become part of such a respected organisation,” Krajewski said. “My goal is to contribute to the team’s success and represent the club with professionalism both on and off the field. I look forward to putting in the work each day and earning the trust and respect of the organisation and my team-mates. Go Raiders!”
