RAVENS EXTEND HC ELLISON
The Munich Ravens have extended head coach Kendral Ellison’s contract for a further two years ahead of the team’s first-ever European League of Football semi-final.
The extension comes well ahead of the expected renewal date, and keeps Ellison at the helm of the ambitious franchise, and responsible for the its development until at least the end of 2027. It is also a clear signal for the team, Ellison and the fans in a season that is already considered historic after the Ravens finished the regular season with an 11-1 record to earn the second seed for the playoffs and receive a bye through the Wildcard weekend. Munich will now host the Stuttgart Surge in the second semi-final this coming Sunday.
Furthermore, under Ellison, the Ravens have been undefeated at Sportpark Unterhaching for two years, becoming one of the ELF’s premier teams in the process.
“Kendral has brought an energy and culture to this team that we desperately needed,” general manager Sean Shelton admitted. “His passion is contagious, and you can see it in how hard our players fight for each other and how they continually develop. Kendral has become a cornerstone of the Munich Ravens, both athletically and personally.”
Ellison took over the head coach role in 2024 and quickly transformed the Munich team into a title contender. His clear philosophy, leadership and ability to improve players both individually and collectively have made the Ravens a fixture at the forefront of the ELF. The contract extension thus secures Munich’ long-term sporting direction, another step in consistently continuing the team’s success story.
“Excited to announce that I’ve extended with the Munich Ravens for another two years,” Ellison confirmed on his Instagram feed. “Beyond grateful for the trust of Thomas Krohne, Sean Shelton and the entire Munich Ravens organisation. Let’s just say there’s no place I’d rather be!”
