Raiders Tirol will welcome an established name in European football circles to their roster this season, after snagging former Berlin Thunder receiver Aaron Jackson.

Over the past few years, the American has proven to be one of the premier pass-catchers in both the European League of Football and other European national leagues. His tenure with the Thunder was particularly outstanding, as he gained an impressive 2,115 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns in just 23 games, leading the league in both receiving and return yards. Last season, having requested to be released by the ELF’s Helvetic Mercenaries, Jackson suited up for the Berlin Rebels in the GFL, recording 861 yards and nine touchdowns.

“In Aaron, we’ve brought in an import wide receiver who offers far more than just athleticism and experience,” offensive coordinator Max Kössler noted. “Right from the recruiting stage, it was clear that he is a player of strong character, highly team-oriented, and a natural leader who leads by example and takes on responsibility. His football IQ and versatility make him a true difference-maker for the Raiders Tirol.”

Returning to a continental league in the midst of uncertainty and division between two rival groups does not faze Jackson, who is looking to pick up from where he left off.

I’m excited to become a new member of the Raiders Tirol family,” he said. “Expect nothing less but big plays and even greater success. I’m eager to bring my experience and professionalism to the entire community of Innsbruck. I look forward to not only impacting the team, but the young players coming up after me. See you at Tivoli Stadion!”
