VIENNA VIKINGS ADD NEW VENUE, TICKET OFFER

Craig Llewellyn World Football

The Vienna Vikings will christen another venue during the forthcoming European League of Football season, and are launching a special ticket offer to entice fans to watch games away from their usual home.

Having already revealed, in mid-February, that they will play their first three home games of the 2025 regular season at the Naturarena Hohe Warte and the Generali Arena, Vikings’ management have added the Datenpol Arena in Südstadt to the rotation. The clash with Prague Lions on July 5th will mark the Vikings’ first foray to the home stadium of soccer club Admira Wacker and, to mark the occasion, a special ‘mini season ticket’ offer invites fans to watch that game, plus the subsequent fixtures against the Wroclaw Panthers (August 9th at the ERGO Arena in Wiener Neustadt) and Paris Musketeers (August 16th at the Naturarena Hohe Warte) for just €59 per person

Kick-off for all three games is scheduled for 6pm local time, with a pre-game entertainment beginning at 3pm featuring music, family fun and culinary delights.

The use of various home venues is linked to the overwhelming success of the Viennese franchise which, through three years in the ELF, has only suffered a single defeat — to Stuttgart in the 2023 season semi-finals — on home soil. Four regular season games were played at the Hohe Warte natural arena that year, resulting in wins over Wroclaw, Berlin, Leipzig, and Tirol, a tally similar to that enjoyed at the ERGO Arena. The Vikings have also played 11 home games at the Generali Arena, winning 10 of them, and some 11,000 fans watched last season’s semi-final victory.

Fans are urged to act quickly to secure their three-game tickets when they go on sale tomorrow (May 1st) from 9am. Regular single tickets for both adults and children will also available for the home games in July and August.
